Mixed Media on Wood Panel

Artplex Gallery
The organic aesthetic and textures of Peter Kuttner’s original boho minimalist artworks are the result of patient layering and unique uses of media. Through a combination of collage and paint, Kuttner is able to find personal expression in the clear colors and contrasting soft textures he creates. This artwork is part of Kuttner's "Cut-Out" series where the artist uses a process, not unlike that of Matisse late in his career. The economy of design and the utilitarian simplicity therein allow for the creation of simple, archetypal pieces. This one-of-a-kind mixed media painting measures 12 inches square. It is wired and ready to hang. It is signed by the artist on the front. The sides of this artwork are painted and it does not require framing. Convenient local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and International shipping are available. This artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the gallery. The Sailboat series captures the spirit of adventure and the call of the sea, inviting viewers into serene coastal towns where life moves at the gentle rhythm of the tides. These paintings evoke the nostalgic charm of quaint harbors, where sailboats drift lazily past weathered docks and sun-bleached cottages. The compositions are infused with the scent of salt air and the whisper of distant waves, suggesting hidden stories waiting to be discovered. In these peaceful seaside scenes, the sailboats become metaphors for life's journey—setting forth from familiar shores into the vast unknown, embracing both the tranquility and unpredictability of the open water.Kuttner’s artworks have been featured in Architectural Digest Magazine as well as in popular films and television shows including Two and a Half Men, Californication, and Nashville. Presently, Kuttner’s work is on display in a large number of private, royal, museum, and corporate collections worldwide.

Through a combination of collage and paint, Kuttner is able to find personal expression in the clear colors and contrasting soft textures he creates. With a focus on creating “Zero-Waste Art”, Kuttner implements a unique form of collaged paintings to create each composition. Each of these mini paintings within the larger composition is entirely unique through the individual reactions between each color and an intermediary glass surface.
