In an exclusive opportunity to view the artist at work, Artspace Warehouse is pleased to present “Danny Brown: Live Painting.” Danny Brown, a first-generation, American artist born in Los Angeles, creates vibrant artworks informed by popular culture and the diverse communities of Los Angeles. Alongside a featured selection of his original works, Brown will be drafting and executing a new, large-scale artwork at Artspace Warehouse on September 24, 2022, from 1:00 – 6:00 PM.
Brown’s experience with graffiti reveals his fluency in color blocking and the translation of rough ideas into vibrant imagery inspired by the interconnectedness of community and his personal connection to the city of Los Angeles. This sense of community throug



Artspace Warehouse is committed to helping our community with Artists for Charity: Transforming Barriers, a charity event dedicated to establishing peace within our community while allowing all voices to be heard. The featured artists involved with the project have freely volunteered their time and efforts to create art on the wood panels outside of Artspace Warehouse. The painted wood panels will be sold to support organizations chosen by each artist. Artspace Warehouse is underwriting all costs for the artworks. 100% of proceeds will be donated to each of the nonprofits. Join Artspace Warehouse for a live painting session by gallery represented artist, Ash Almonte. The artist will be painting for 3 hours in an event that is open to the public, and will be talking about her process, inspirations, and media while painting.
Almonte is known for her gestural abstraction and her unique color palette. She perfected her style while receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. Inspired by music and haute couture, Almonte uses a variety of media including enamel, oil, acrylic, and graphite. Her paintings have a continuous motion, with no definitive end
